Implementation and Distribution of Sub-Grants for North Shore Watershed Flood Mitigation

The County of Kaua'i selected Hale Halawai 'Ohana O Hanalei (501C3), through an RFP process, to manage the implementation and financial distribution of $7,285,000 for North Shore Watershed Flood Mitigation Sub-grants.
This project is intended to ultimately produce multiple sub-grants to other non-profit organizations so that those organizations can conduct mitigation projects which reduce harm from future flooding events through structural and nonstructural actions, interventions and investments.

Hale Halawai encourages the public and potential applicants to submit questions regarding this project. However, to ensure fairness of process and in order to avoid any appearance of impropriety Hale Halawai will refrain from responding to inquiries individually. Once our data collection phase is near complete and before we release the sub-grant RFP, we will post answers to all questions that have been submitted on our website.
